Two members of the Dawood Ibrahim gang believed to be hold up in Nepal were detained in that country during a joint operations by security agencies.

NEW DELHI: Two members of the Dawood Ibrahim gang believed to be hold up in Nepal were detained in that country during a joint operations by security agencies. Abid Dawood Patel (41), wanted in cases of murder and house trespass by Gujarat police was identified as one of the suspect while his associate has been identified as Saleem Sattar (35).

The two were hiding in Nepal for past few months and were planning to enter India in order to meet their associates. Gujarat police which was jointly conducting the operation is likely to get their custody. Abid's brother who worked with Dawood is believed to be in Pakistan and is considered close to the underworld don.

The security agencies believe that their interrogation will help to get details about the gang members of Dawood. An interpol red corner notice has also been issued against Abid on the request of Gujarat police, said officials.
