Danish woman gang-raped
A 51-year-old Danish tourist lodged a case with police on Wednesday saying she was gang-raped by six to eight men near New Delhi railway station.

Two men have been arrested by the police from whom her Ipod, some cash and her spectacle case have been recovered. Police officials said some other suspects, who they described as “vagabonds”, have been detained whi le the traumatised victim flew back to Denmark on Wednesday after recording her statement.
An official said the incident took place when the woman, who came to India on January 1, lost her way while returning to her hotel in Paharganj around 4 pm and asked a group of men for directions.
They allegedly led her to a secluded place and raped her at knife-point, the woman alleged in the FIR lodged by her. She was robbed of electronic gadgets and valuables, the police was informed by her hotel manager. The woman refused a medical examination.
“We have advised her to undergo a medical examination in Denmark and forward us the report,” an official said. An earlier case of the rape of a foreign national, a Swiss diplomat, in 2003 near Siri Fort auditorium remains unsolved.
