Daman and Diu celebrates 50th Liberation Day

DAMAN: Unfurling of the tricolor, impressive march past and colorful cultural programmes today marked the 50th liberation day celebration of Daman and Diu here.

To celebrate this Golden Jubilee year, Administration, Daman Industrial Association, Tourism Department and Balbhavan organised a three day state level programme.

The union territory entered the 50th year of freedom from 400 years of Portugal rule.

The three day programme commenced by flag hosting followed by a march past by the police, Excise department, Coast guard, NCC and school students.
