Mohd Akhlaq was killed on the night of September 28 in village Bisada, 45 kilometers from Delhi. His son was also grievously injured and is recovering in hospital.
The report submitted by the deputy chief veterinary officer of the State Veterinary Hospital in Gautam Budhnagar says the 4-5 kilo flesh recovered from Bisada, which was submitted for examination, seems to be of “goat progeny”.
The report says that the flesh was red and cut in small pieces. Both the foreleg and hind legs were also recovered. “After physical examination of the meat it prima facie seems that it is of goat progeny,” the report states. It also states that a final report has been sought by the Forensic Lab in Mathura where samples have been sent by the police.
