DA case registered against Amarinder, his son

In fresh trouble for former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, the state Vigilance Bureau on Friday registered a case of alleged disproportionate assets against him, his son and three other government officials.

CHANDIGARH: In fresh trouble for former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, the state Vigilance Bureau on Friday registered a case of alleged disproportionate assets against him, his son and three other government officials.

Vigilance Bureau sources said here that besides Singh, his son Raninder Singh and three government officials have been booked by Patiala Vigilance Bureau for amassing wealth allegedly disproportionate to their known sources of income during Amarinder's tenure as Chief Minister of the state.

The case pertains to allotment of major mega projects during Amarinder's tenure as Chief Minister and his ownership in companies at Bahadurgarh (Haryana) and Gurgaon (Haryana).

The bureau also mentioned in the case that Amarinder's the then media advisor B I S Chahal's role in the case will also be inquired.

Singh had already got bail in another case registered against him last year by the Vigilance Bureau in the multi-crore Ludhiana city Centre scandal.
