Curfew was reimposed in Shillong after it was relaxed for a few hours on Monday. The trouble began on Friday evening in the wake of clashes between tribals and nontribals over CAA.

GUWAHATI: Curfew was reimposed in Shillong after it was relaxed for a few hours on Monday. The trouble began on Friday evening in the wake of clashes between tribals and nontribals over CAA.
In view of the deteriorating law and order, East Khasi Hills district magistrate M War Nongbri in an order said: “(I) do hereby promulgate curfew in Shillong.”
Meanwhile, Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma and his Cabinet colleagues met the victims injured in the violence over the past three days.
