After violent protests in parts of Jammu over the transfer of SASB land, authorities have imposed curfew in Samba and Bhaderwah.

SRINAGAR: After violent protests in parts of Jammu over the transfer of SASB land, authorities have imposed curfew in Samba and Bhaderwah.

Most of the Jammu city is already under curfew as massive deployments are in place in the countryside. At least 80 people have been injured in the clashes. The crisis was termed grave in Bhaderwah, CM Ghulam Nabi Azad���s hometown which is one of the most sensitive township owing to two communities living almost in equal proportion on two sides of the picturesque town, where a grenade attack on BJP���s rally led to injuries.

Reports said there were clashes between Hindus and Muslims in the morning as the former���who had paralysed their part of their town as part of the strike, objected to the Muslim areas who did not observe it.
