Cups with Amit Shah, Narendra Modi pictures used in Shatabdi; Indian Railways orders probe
JALANDHAR: Use of paper cups with photographs of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah to serve tea to the passengers of Delhi-Amritsar Shatabdi train has created furore, prompting Indian Railway to order probe into the matter.

"Prima facie it seems to a mistake but the matter is being probed. If it is proved that it was done deliberately then action would be taken against the guilty," Chief Public Relations Officer of Northern Railway Neeraj Sharma said.

Few days ago, paper cups with photographs of Modi and Shah along with an appeal to become a BJP member were found lying on the floor of Delhi-Amritsar Shatabdi train.

He said that it seems that due to mistake of supply staff the cups, which were meant to be used by the BJP were supplied for serving tea and coffee to the passengers on the train.

Meanwhile, local Congress leader Virender Sharma attacked the NDA government, saying the Prime Minister was more interested in getting his pictures clicked and setting a wrong precedence.

He also said that now the BJP was misusing the trains like Shatabdi, when Delhi Assembly elections are round the corners.
