Crude bomb recovered in Kannur
A crude bomb was found in the busy Municipal stadium complex here, making it the third to be recovered in two days in the town.

KANNUR: A crude bomb was found in the busy Municipal stadium complex here, making it the third to be recovered in two days in the town.
Two crude bombs were recovered from a premises close to a mosque in the town yesterday, police said. Police carried out thorough search in the area, close to the Municipal bus stand, requisitioning the services of sniffer-dogs.
The crude bomb,placed inside a plastic container, was found in taxi stand, where public meetings are held, by drivers who immediately informed police, the sources said
The bomb was later defused by a team which reached here from Kozhikode, they said.
Meanwhile,police has intensified inquiries in connection with the seizure of the two bombs kept in 15 CM long pipes near the mosque.Three persons had been interrogated in connection with the incident, the sources said.
