The officials were however unable to explain how an admit card was issued against the application and the same was available on the CRPF's website till late on Thursday evening. It was withdrawn on Friday after TOI in its July 21 edition, carried a news report about the admit card fiasco. "The application in question was detected and cancelled and none one appeared for the scrutiny of documents against the particular roll number when the screening was held on July 15," said deputy inspector general, CRPF Group Center at Rampur, Praveen Kumar. The particular applicant had to appear for his examination from this centre.
"We had informed our headquarters about the irregularity as well," the DIG said.Though the CRPF officials confirmed that the application was the handiwork of some mischievous element, there was no information on if the central para military was contemplating filing an FIR against the individual responsible for the malicious act.
