Cricket: India win toss, elect to bat

Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat in the fifth One-Day International against Australia at the Reliance Stadium here.

VADODARA: Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat in the fifth One-Day International against Australia at the Reliance Stadium here on Thursday.

Both the teams retained the playing eleven that did duty in the fourth match on October 8 at Chandigarh.

Australia is leading the seven-match series 2-1 Teams: India: M S Dhoni (C), Yuvraj Singh (V-C), Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Robin Uthappa, Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, Murali Kartik, R P Singh and Zaheer Khan.

Australia: Ricky Ponting (C), Adam Gilchrist (V-C) Nathan Bracken, Michael Clarke, Matthew Hayden, Brad Hodge, Brad Hogg, James Hopes, Mitchell Johnson, Brett Lee and Andrew Symonds.

Umpires: Aleem Dar (Pak) and Amish Saheba (Ind) Third umpire: Suresh Shastri (Ind) Match referee: Chris Broad.
