CPM to intensify agitation against Kerala CM Chandy
KOCHI: The CPM would intensify its agitation against chief minister Oommen Chandy within the assembly and outside.

Speaking to reporters, CPM polit bureau member Pinarayi Vijayan said that strong agitation would be launched if Oommen Chandy is not resigning. He said that Oommen Chandy’s decision not to accept K Babu’s resignation is a ploy for the former to remain in office.

If Babu returns to power, the CM can also continue in power, he pointed out. Reacting to KPCC president VM Sudheeran’s statement that there is nothing wrong in excise minister K Babu returning to the Ministry, Pinarayi Vijayan said that Sudheeran has compromised with the corrupt government.

K Babu, who resigned following the Thrissur Vigilance Court order to register FIR against him in the bar-bribe case, had said that he is returning to the Ministry because the UDF is calling him back.

Pinarayi Vijayan said that Congress men have turned against the Vigilance judge who gave the verdict against chief minister Oommen Chandy.

Opposition leader VS Achuthanandan said that all corrupt elements are coming together to fool the media and the public.
