In another blow to CPM, the special investigation team of the state police submitted its chargesheet in the TP Chandrashekharan murder case in the Vadagara court. Several CPM district and local level functionaries were listed as accused in the chargesheet. CPM state committee member KK Ragesh is one of the accused. There are 76 people named in the chargesheet.
MC Anoop, leader of the 7-member group that killed the Revolutionary Marxist Party leader TP Chandrashekharan, is the first accused in the case. Kirmani Manoj, Kodi Suni, Rajeesh, Mohammed Shafi, Sijith and Shinoj are the other members of the group that killed Chandrashekharan.
The police team submitted its report on MM Mani, CPM former Idukki secretary is the second accused in the Ancheri Baby murder case. Youth Congress leader Ancheri Baby's murder is being reinvestigated after Mani disclosed during a public speech at Thodupuza that his party has eliminated political opponents.
