NEW DELHI: CPM on Friday echoed NDAs soft of terror charge against the Manmohan Singh government and said it was time that the government acted to contain acts of terrorism.

Coming soon after the Jaipur blasts, it confirms that terrorist groups were active. It is a matter of concern that the Centre has so far failed to uncover the network behind these nefarious activities," the CPM polit bureau said in a statement.

Condemning the blasts aimed at disrupting life, it said it was high time that intelligence and security agencies tracked down the culprits responsible for the attack.

In a separate statement, the CPI Central secretariat said it was a "sinister attempt to disturb communal harmony and destabilise society."
