A senior leader of the CPIM-run employees union of the state government employees said on Monday that they would assemble near the Howrah railway station on Tuesday to march to Nabanna to press for their demands to the state government.
"The state government is not releasing DA to it's employees. We are getting very poor amount as DA compared to what the Central government employees are enjoying. There is a huge gap between the DA we are getting and the DA enjoyed by the Central government employees. We are also demanding immediate release of 6th Pay Commission reports by the state government," said the leader.
On May 22, altogether eleven peasants organisations belonging to Left parties will gherao Nabanna in support of their 18-point charter of demands which include payment of support price to the farmers for their products.
