CPI(ML) attacks UP government over violence in Muzaffarnagar

Without political patronisation and laxity on part of UP government, Muzaffarnagar riots would not have happened, CPI(ML) today alleged.

LUCKNOW: Without political patronisation and laxity on part of Uttar Pradesh government, Muzaffarnagar riots would not have happened, Communist Party of India (ML) today alleged.

CPI(ML) general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya attacked the UP government saying,"the manner in which Gujarat was allowed to burn, similar thing happened in Muzaffarnagar in SP government."

He was addressing a 'dharna' in front of Vidhan Bhawan. Bhattacharya claimed that as a part of its strategy BJP wanted to "trigger communal riots" in the state and country ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

He alleged that riots were organised and a fake video clipping was loaded on the internet.

Accusing Akhilesh Yadav government of failing on its promises, he said that a 'jawab do' rally will be organised in Lucknow on October 21.
