CPI(M) condemned the detention of former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in Gujarat saying it is not acceptable in democracy.

NEW DELHI: CPI(M) today condemned the detention of former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in Gujarat saying it is not acceptable in democracy.

"CPI-M condemns illegal detention of AAP leader in Gujarat. Not acceptable in a democracy," CPI(M) Politburo member Sitaram Yechury said in micro-blogging site twitter.

Kejriwal was detained in Radhanpur town in Gujarat for violation of model code of conduct yesterday.
