CPI(M)-BJP ‘underhand deal’ to defeat UDF won’t work in Kerala, says Chennithala | Kerala Assembly polls

The ruling LDF has only one chief ministerial candidate--Pinarayi Vijayan--although his party, CPI(M), has not officially declared him for the post in the April 9 Assembly polls. In contrast, the opposition UDF has at least three faces, with senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala being one of the main contenders. "CPI(M) and BJP are dealing underhand to defeat Congress-led UDF, but this will not work in Kerala. People of Kerala are completely dejected by the performance of the government and the people will not allow them to continue. We are very confident that we will come to power in Kerala," Ramesh Chennithala told reporters.
