CPI(M) asks government to relax curfew restrictions
SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir unit of CPI(M) today expressed concern over the continuous curfew in the Valley and urged the government to relax the restrictions so that people get some relief.

"I urge the government to take effective measures to relax curfew and restrictions so that people are provided a little relief," CPI(M) leader and MLA Kulgam, M Y Tarigami said here.

Tarigami said there are reports of scarcity of ration, cooking gas, kerosene oil, food items, especially baby food, and drinking water in the whole Valley and more so in far flung areas.

The administration must come out of the "slumber" and ensure that essential services are restored immediately so that the miseries of the people are minimised, he said.

The CPI(M) leader asked the government to urgently take immediate steps to provide ration, food items and essential commodities to the people in far-flung areas.
