CPI leader D Raja lashes out at Narendra Modi government
"The BJP has failed to fulfil its promises made to the people during elections like bringing back black money," D Raja said.

"The BJP has failed to fulfil its promises made to the people during elections like bringing back black money," he said.
He flayed the government for taking the ordinance route on the insurance issue.
"Bringing foreign investment in insurance is not proper. LIC and GIC are functioning well... foreign investment in this will swallow the department. This government is functioning for foreign companies," said Raja.
Lashing out at Hindutva outfits, he said the Prime Minister has not spoken about conversion issue in Parliament.
On the fishermen issue, Raja said the BJP government should strive to free all fishermen arrested by Lankan Navy and not try to derive political mileage from the recent release of five fishermen sentenced to death for alleged drug trafficking after being pardoned by the Lankan President.
He also wanted the Katchatheevu pact to be reviewed. Referring to the Cauvery dispute, he said "there is conflict over the rights of upper riparian and lower riparian states...We met the PM and conveyed our concern over the issue."
Raja was here in connection with CPI's Thanjavur district conference.
He said the party national conference will be held for the first time at Puducherry from March 25 to 29 in 2015.
