NEW DELHI: CPI today charged the ruling BJP with pursuing an "undeclared strategy" to push "anti-people" economic policies and diverting the minds of the people by raising communal issues.

"This is all part of a design. The BJP has a lethal combination of corporates and communal forces. It pursues an undeclared strategy to subvert our secular and democratic republic by pursuing policies to help the corporates and raising communal issues," CPI National Secretary D Raja alleged.

Both these things are being carried out "with a kind of coordination", he said.

While issues like 'ghar wapsi' (reconversion), Gita being a national scripture, teaching of Sanskrit in schools, and Nathuram Godse being a patriot were being raised, simultaneously policies like land acquisition, FDI in insurance and coal block allocation are being pushed through ordinances, Raja said.

"They think they can do anything by bypassing Parliament," the CPI leader said.
