Covid-19: India records highest single-day spike of 9,987 cases; death toll 7,466
The worrying trend of coronavirus cases continued in India on Tuesday as the country reported around 9,987 new cases and 331 fresh deaths due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, confirmed the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. According to the ministry's latest bulletin, the number of cases in the country now stands at 2,66,598 and the virus-related death toll at 7,466.
