Court holds two guilty of murdering Dhanbad judge

The court will award quantum of sentence on August 6.

They were produced before a special court in Asansol on Thursday and remanded to five days of police custody.
Within a year after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered a case to investigate the 'hit and run murder' of Dhanbad additional district judge Uttam Anand, a special CBI Court in Dhanbad held two accused guilty of murder.

The court will award quantum of sentence on August 6.

As many as 58 prosecution witnesses were examined. The trial was completed in a record six months. The entire investigation and trial was completed within one year from the said incident, the agency said on Thursday.


The CBI had registered a case on August 4 last year at the request of Jharkhand government and a notification from the Centre.
