Court allows Goswami to amend petition in abetment to suicide case

Goswami has approached the court seeking to restrain the local police from further investigating the case and hand over the ongoing probe to the Central Bureau of Investigation.

Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Wednesday allowed Arnab Goswami to amend a petition so as to bring the chargesheet on record in an alleged abetment to a suicide case. Goswami has approached the court seeking to restrain the local police from further investigating the case and hand over the ongoing probe to the Central Bureau of Investigation.

The division bench of Justice SS Shinde and Justice MS Karnik alloweded this and posted the matter for further hearing on January 6.

Senior counsel, Abad Ponda, who appeared for Goswami argued that he got to know that the magistrate has taken cognizance of the chargesheet against Goswami in the Anvay Naik suicide case.
