Court allows Capt Amarinder Singh to go abroad

A Ludhiana court has allowed former Punjab CM Amarinder Singh, an accused in the multi-crore Ludhiana City Centre scam, to go abroad for three weeks from September 10.

LUDHIANA: A court here on Saturday allowed former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, an accused in the multi-crore Ludhiana City Centre scam, to go abroad for three weeks from September 10.

Before granting permission to the senior state Congress leader, the Sessions Court took an undertaking from his counsel that his client would be back within the specified period.

After hearing arguments from both sides, Judge G K Rai allowed Amarinder to go abroad

The former Chief Minister had moved an application in this regard yesterday.
