Corporates not asked to publish data on Scheduled Castes recruitment: Govt

NEW DELHI: The government today said it has not asked the corporate sector to publish data related to persons belonging to Scheduled Castes (SCs) recruited by them in the annual reports of companies.

This information was given by Minister of State in Corporate Affairs R P N Singh in Lok Sabha in a written reply to a question.

The UPA government had introduced a Bill in the Rajya Sabha yesterday to provide quota in promotions to SC/ST in government jobs.
