Corporates come up to assist Assam flood effected people

Prime minister, Dr Manmohan Singh announced ad hoc flood relief package of Rs 500 Crore, State Bank of India (SBI) donated Rs 2 Crore while United Bank of India provided Rs 10 lakh.

GUWAHATI: Corporate and organizations are coming up for assisting the 20 lakh flood effected people.

Prime minister, Dr Manmohan Singh announced ad hoc flood relief package of Rs 500 Crore, State Bank of India (SBI) donated Rs 2 Crore while United Bank of India provided Rs 10 lakh.

Oil India Limited (OIL) contributed Rs 70 lakh to the chief minister's relief fund. Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) contributed Rs 20 lakh to chief minister relief fund. McLeod Russel India Limited has given Rs 40 lakh to the chief minister's relief fund.
