Corporate Affairs Ministry to inspect accounts of Delhi and District Cricket Association
The Corporate Affairs Ministry has started inspection of the books of Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) after receiving several complaints of corruption and manipulation of records of one of India’s premier cricket bodies.

The probe has been ordered under section 206 of the Companies act of 2013, the Loksabha was informed on Friday by the Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha.
Replying to a question by Bhartiya Janata Party’s Kirti Azad, also a former cricketer, Sinha said, ”On complaints received in this regard, the ministry has ordered inspection under section 206 of the Companies Act.”
In 2012 also the MCA had discovered malpractices in DDCA after which it had launched prosecution against the cricket body and a complaint was launched against the auditor with the Indian Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Arun Jaitley was the President of DDCA till December 2013.
