Contestants raise suspicion over 'uncared' EVMs
DHANBAD: Contestants in the Jharkhand Assembly election voiced suspicion today after finding that at least 400 EVM machines were lying "uncared for" near the Industrial Training Institute in Dhanbad.

The contestants belonging to the BJP, Congress, JMM and some other parties accused the administration of tampering with the EVMs in favour of certain political parties.

Returning Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Prasant Kumar reached the spot immediately after being informed of the suspicion expressed by the contestants.

Later, he said, "Verification is being done". On his advice, the assembled contestants were also allowed to inspect the strong room and the so-called 'uncared' EVMs.
