Shah has asked the Delhi government to draw up a strategy by June 22, constitute district-level teams by June 23, delineate all containment zones by June 26 and conduct a thorough survey of all containment zones by June 30.
The Paul panel had called for enlisting and monitoring of households outside the containment zones as well. Covid care centres should engage independent and NGO volunteers, the MHA statement read.
A serological survey will be undertaken in Delhi between June 27 and July 10 covering 20,000 residents, whose samples will be tested to assess the extent of spread of infection in Delhi and help formulate a comprehensive strategy, it added.
Shah has been regularly holding meetings amid a sudden spike in Covid-19 cases. There are 59,746 positive cases in the capital, as indicated by a Delhi government health bulletin.
