Cong's Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury accuses TMC of 'Vote Robbery' in Bengal local body elections

Delhi: Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury says, "...In every election, the opposition is unable to field candidates. They are not allowed to file nominations in the Panchayat elections... The State Election Commission, which oversees municipal, panchayat, and all other elections, is involved not just in vote theft but in outright robbery... Our election agents are intimidated, false cases are filed against them by the police, and they are prevented from acting as agents on election day..." He further adds, "Regarding the BJP, I would say that they should be mindful of the context in which they make their statements... The BJP is trying to avoid Rahul Gandhi's accusations... It is not just vote theft in Bengal, it is vote robbery.
