Congressmen do not trust the leadership of Rahul Gandhi: Himanta Biswa Sarma

GUWAHATI: Enthused by Arunachal Pradesh coming back to NDA-fold, the BJP-led grouping of anti-Congress parties, Northeast Democratic Alliance (NEDA) launches scathing attack on Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi.

Convener of NEDA Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday said from Arunachal Pradesh to Manipur, Congressmen have shown that they do not trust the leadership of Rahul Gandhi. “Independent thinking persons will never accept the leadership of Rahul.”

On July 17, in the presence of BJP president Amit Shah, NEDA had its first political convention in Guwahati.

However, the SC verdict reinstating the Nabam Tuki-led Congress government has dampened the show. Shah was on a two-day visit to Manipur on September 14 and 15.
