GHAZIABAD: Congress workers today protested against BJP for suspending 25 party members in Parliament and burnt an effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi outside the district Congress office at Purana Bus Adda here.

Addressing the party workers, former Congress MP Surendra Prakash Goel said that Congress will not tolerate the dictatorship of Modi government.

The suspension is an endeavour to stamp down the voice of the Opposition so that BJP's corruption may not be exposed, he said.

The Congress party will continue agitation till the suspension of all the parliamentarians is withdrawn, Goel added.

Congress district president Harendra Kasana said that the suspension of 25 MPs was undemocratic act of BJP-led NDA government.
