Congress welcomes searches on 'Liquor Min'

The Congress welcomed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raid against Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia and said the party has been alleging corruption in the Aam Aadmi Party government and by its "liquor minister".

"The step by CBI shows that these people (AAP leaders) are not fiercely honest but fiercely corrupt and dishonest. We have trust in the legal process and all corrupt people will have to go to jail," Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Anil Chaudhary said in a video message.

Later, he tweeted, "The public is asking (Delhi chief minister Arvind) Kejriwal why he has left our children in the hands of the liquor mafia of Punjab?... What happened to the honest certificate given to (Jitender Singh) Tomar, Sandeep (Kumar), (Satyendra) Jain is not hidden from anyone. Take the resignation of corrupt Sisodia @ ArvindKejriwal !"
