Congress uses CAG report to attack BJP, Narendra Modi
The CAG report had said that the GMB handed an "undue favour" to Reliance Petroleum Ltd (RPL) by allowing it to pay only half the stipulated port fees.

Party spokesperson Shaktisinh Gohil alleged the "CAG report has stumbled on a scam worth Rs 2900 crore. In the Lok Sabha elections, most of the BJP leaders campaigned using aircraft. There was a 3D campaign. We used to ask from where all this money is coming.
"The CAG report has given the answer for it", he said. The CAG report had said that the state government-run Gujarat Maritime Board handed an "undue favour" to Reliance Petroleum Ltd (RPL) by allowing it to pay only half the stipulated port fees, which led to a loss of Rs 649.29 crore, a report of Comptroller and Auditor General of India has said.
Targetting Modi with the CAG report, which he said, belongs to the period when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Gohil said BJP used to mount severe attack on the UPA government when similar CAG reports came but it happened in case of Gujart and it resorted to suspending Congress MLAs when the report was present in the state assembly.
Gujarat government had, however, dismissed the opposition attack saying it meant nothing untill the Public Accounts Committee examines it.
Gohil also targetted Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleging he "misled" parliament regarding power supply to farmers in Gujarat. He, however, evaded a direct reply as to whether the party will consider bringing a privilege notice against Modi. He said he will apprise Congress Leaders of of both Houses of Parliament in this regard.
