Congress to send fact finding team to clash-hit Amethi village

Congress today said it will send a fact finding team to Amethi in Sultanpur district, where a clash in a village last week had left one person dead and several injured.

LUCKNOW: Congress today said it will send a fact finding team to Amethi in Sultanpur district, where a clash in a village last week had left one person dead and several injured.

A decision to this effect was taken by UPCC president Nirmal Khatri, party spokesperson Maroof Khan said here.

The team will also ascertain the situation arising out of the violence between two groups in Dehli Mubarakpur village, in which a dalit man lost his life, he said.

It will conprise of Congress leaders Mata Prasad, Siraj Mehdi, Harish Bajpai and Omkarnath Singh, besides Khatri himself, Khan said.
