As the government has informed the Opposition that the customary all-party meeting before the Parliament session will be held on November 30, the Congress said it would seek a priority discussion on the trade deal negotiations with the US and President's Trump's related statements, linking it to Operation Sindoor.

"An all-party meeting has been called on November 30, chaired by defence minister Rajnath Singh. We will definitely demand that the US President's statements, trade agreements, and issues of China be addressed in the meeting... But this session, which is only for 15 days, is a formality. I do not know what the government is going to do because the government says one thing in the all-party meeting and does something else," said Jairam Ramesh, Congress chief whip in the Rajya Sabha. The winter session is scheduled to commence from December 1. In the wake of the recent terror strike in Delhi, the Opposition party had demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi preside over the all-party meeting and advance the winter session in order to debate the incident in the national capital.

Meanwhile, Congress whip in Lok Sabha Manickam Tagore made use of his birthday greeting to the Union parliamentary minister to appeal for a constructive session with an opportunity for the Opposition to have its say.
