The meeting was attended by Sonia Gandhi, AK Antony, KC Venugopal, Mallikarjun Kharge, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Anand Sharma, Manish Tewari, Kodikunnil Suresh, Jairam Ramesh, Manickam Tagore and others.
The Congress leadership has decided to reach out to the like-minded opposition parties for a coordinated approach on issues of common concern during the budget session of Parliament starting Monday. The session will be held in the backdrop of many political parties' preoccupation with the ongoing campaign for assembly polls in five states, where many of the opposition parties are fighting each other and against the BJP.
