Congress will contest the civic body elections with the slogan 'Toot Gayi Vikas Ki Dore, Vapas Chalo Congress Ki Aur', in a bid to woo the voters and highlight the "failures" of BJP-ruled municipal corporations and AAP government in Delhi.

The party will prepare charge sheets against the AAP government in Delhi and the BJP-ruled MCDs, which will be published on January 31 at a party convention.

"People of Delhi are fed up with the 10-year rule of the BJP in the three municipal corporations, while the two-year rule of the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi has witnessed a total stagnation in development works," Maken said in a press conference.

Attacking AAP government, he charged it with "locking horns" with the Centre and the Lt Governor on "every issue" without concentrating on development works.

"When chikungunya and dengue spread on epidemic proportions in Delhi, all the ministers of Delhi were touring outside the capital. Now, out of the 67 AAP MLAs in Delhi, 52 MLAs have gone out for election campaigns, and the whole Delhi Cabinet is out of the city leaving the development works in limbo," he alleged.
