Congress taunts BJP over denial of US visa to Narendra Modi

NEW DELHI: With BJP fishing out a video clip of US President Barrack Obama to justify Amit Shah's controversial "revenge" remark, Congress today took a dig at the Opposition party reminding it of visa denial by US to Narendra Modi.

"The Barack Obama fixation continues for the BJP. Amit Shah being compared to him now. Uff ye Amreekan Visa," Congress spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi said on Twitter.

Her tweet came soon after senior BJP leader Ravishankar Prasad, addressing a press conference after the FIR against Shah, quoted an election speech of Obama.

He also played a video clip of the US President and insisted that the use of the word "revenge" by Shah was not unusual as Obama too had used the word during an election campaign in Ohio.

"Even US President Obama has told Ohioans that voting is the best revenge," Prasad said.
