Congress slams BJP over power crisis in Jharkhand
RANCHI: Slamming BJP for playing "politics over power", Congress today blamed the saffron party for the electricity crisis in Jharkhand as it had ruled the state for maximum years, but "failed" to produce even a unit in state.

"We all need electricity. But BJP is indulging in politics over power. It had ruled the state for a long time, but failed to produce even a unit in the state," PCC General Secretary Sailesh Sinha said here.

Another PCC General Secretary Rajesh Gupta said, "had the then BJP governments used the funds sanctioned by the previous UPA governments there would not have been any crisis now. The BJP governments had signed 28 MoUs in the power sector, but none had produced power."

After former External Affairs Minister and senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha launched the party's agitation against "power crisis" on June 2, the state unit BJP joined the protest from today.
