Congress today constituted a 24- member Pradesh Election Committee for Haryana with Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda among its members.

NEW DELHI: Congress today constituted a 24- member Pradesh Election Committee for Haryana with Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and party MPs Kumari Selja, Ashok Tanwar and Chaudhary Birender Singh among its members.

PCC chief Phool Chand Mullana, former Speaker HS Chatta, party MP Avtar Singh Bhadana, Congress spokesperson and Haryana minister Randeep Singh Surjewala, Captain Ajay Yadav, and Rajya Sabha MPs Ram Prakash and Shadi Lal Batra are some of the other members on the panel.

Four members of the committee have been appointed on an ex-officio basis.

"Congress President Sonia Gandhi has approved the proposal for constituting the Pradesh Election Committee of Haryana," AICC general secretary in-charge of Organisation, Janardan Dwivedi, said in a release here.
