"This resignation (of Champat Rai) is not going to solve the problem. If loot worth hundreds or thousands of crores and such a massive betrayal of faith have taken place, then the money did not go only to Champat Rai," Congress leader Rajeev Shukla said at an AICC presser. "That is why the matter should be investigated under the supervision of the Supreme Court. Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi should intervene immediately," he said.
AICC general secretary (org) KC Venugopal posted on X: "After using Ayodhya for their divisive politics, BJP-RSS looted from donations of ordinary devotees and made a complete mockery of their sentiment."
