Congress releases candidate lists for Tripura and Meghalaya polls

NEW DELHI: The Congress on Saturday released its lists of candidates for the Assembly elections in Tripura and Meghalaya.

The party is fielding 56 candidates in Tripura, and 57 in Meghalaya.

Tripura goes to poll on February 18, while Meghalaya will vote on February 27.


Counting of votes for both states will be carried out on March 3.

The 60-member Assemblies in Meghalaya and Tripura are set to expire on March 6 and 14, respectively.
