Congress questions Trinamool's silence on Rajat Majumdar
KOLKATA: State Congress president Adhir Chowdhury today questioned the silence of Trianmool Congress leadership on the arrest of Rajat Majumdar in the Saradha Ponzi scam and said days are not far when several top TMC leaders will be arrested by CBI in the case.

Former West Bengal DGP Rajat Majumdar was yesterday arrested by the CBI for his alleged involvement in the multi-crore Saradha chitfund scam.

"Why is the Trinamool Congress mum on Saradha scam? Why are they not uttering a single word about it? Rajat Majumdar was close to a top TMC leader and was a regular to various party meetings. The party should come out with a statement," said Chowdhury.

"A day will come when several top Trinamool leaders will be arrested by the CBI in the Saradha scam. The state government has become non-functional as it is mired in this scam," he alleged.
