Congress pounces on Kirti Azad's comment to demand Arun Jaitley's resignation
Congress latched on Kirti Azad's claim that the government had asked CBI in October this year to probe alleged financial irregularities in DDCA to demand immediate resignation of Arun Jaitley.

"Once it is admitted that BJP government had itself ordered a CBI inquiry against DDCA of a tenure when Arun Jaitley was its President, how can he continue as Finance Minister even for a minute?"
"As Leader of Opposition, Jaitley had demanded resignation of umpteen Union Ministers on various grounds even without pendency of a CBI investigation. Will BJP and Shri Arun Jaitley now adhere to the same goalpost?" party's chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala asked.
He said no member of the treasury bench, including none of the Ministers, particularly Home Minister Rajnath Singh, controverted the key assertions and revelations made by Kirti Azad.
Besides, he said, BJP has still not acted against Azad for targeting Jaitley.
He asked "why is it then that Jaitley is not being sacked by Prime Minister? Will Prime Minister Narendra Modi come forward and answer to the nation on the allegations against his own Finance Minister."
"Once Finance Minister himself is under a question, how can we expect transparency of governance in Modi government at all?" he wondered.
