JAMMU : The Union Minister for Water Resources Saif-ud-Din Soz on Wednesday said that the Congress-led central government played a vital role in finding amicable solution to the Amarnath land row.
The party leadership has taken due care of the views of its men in the state and resolved the issue, Soz, who is also J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president, said while addressing a meeting of PCC functionaries, former ministers and legislators.
Expressing satisfaction that peace has been restored in Jammu region, Soz said it is time to rebuild the atmosphere of trust and strengthen our age-old traditions of secularism and religious harmony.
The JKPCC chief also exhorted the partymen to work unitedly and gear up for ensuing assembly elections in the state.
He said transparency would be maintained in the functioning and working of the organisation and in the entire process, including selection of candidates based on the reports from the party units.
