NEW DELHI: Even as Sonia Gandhi is on a two-day trip to Rajasthan and Haryana to visit the farmers’ whose crops were destroyed by the untimely rains, the Congress leadership is planning to hold a massive rally of kisans in Delhi as part of its plan to intensify the campaign against the Modi government’s proposed land Bill.

Party sources said, the rally cold be held in Delhi either on 29, March or 5, April - the day on which the government’s land acquisition ordinance will technically lapse - and some party leaders feel Rahul Gandhi will, finally, be back from his sabbatical by then to participate in the event .

"Soniaji and senior party leaders would address the rally and we hope Rahulji (Rahul Gndhi) will be back in Delhi by then and will join them at the rally", said a Congress source.
