IMPHAL: BJP continued to attack the 15 year old congress government in Manipur on corruption front. BJP National president, Amit Shah on Tuesday said the militants’ outfits are operating in Manipur due to government’s patronage.

Shah who addressed a election rally in Manipur said, “ Developmental funds were siphoned off by corrupt regime of Congress. For 15 years in Manipur one party, one family and one party rule the state.”

He added that congress is patronizing militants. “Manipur do not have drinking water, bad roads, acute unemployment and it is due to the congress government which did no work.”

Shah added, “ Public distribution system (PDS) has failed in the state. I want to ask Chief minister O Ibobi Singh where has 1.51 lakh tonnes of food grains sent to Manipur under PDS gone."

The BJP president said, "Congress government has failed to submit completion and utilisation certificate of several projects in the state. Ibobi Singh has invited Sonia Gandhi and Former prime minister Manmohan Singh to inaugurate half done project during UPA days, every projects has been left half done and funds were siphoned off.”

Shah said that in interview for jobs of police, nurse, health or teacher there is corruption. “we will investigate all corruption case and sent all those who did corruption to jail.”
