Congress party stands with the security forces and government: Rahul Gandhi

Vowing to stand with the security forces and the government, Congress president Rahul Gandhi today said that his party will refrain from political argument and stands in mourning.

Addressing a press conference along with former Prime Minister manmohan Singh, gandhi said that India will not be divided by such acts of terrorism. "We stand with the government and our security forces at this hour."

Gandhi said, "The most important people of this country are our armed forces and today they have been attacked so this is an attack on our soul those behind the attack should know that this will not be taken lightly."


The Congress president said that most of the opposition and the entire Indian national congress will not enter into any political discussion on this issue and will stand in solidarity with the armed forces.

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh too condemned the attacks saying, "We ca never compromise with terrorism, at this hour will not raise contentious issues right now. We have lost 40 jawans. Our foremost duty is to work together against terrorism."
